How to crochet an Easter spring hat

using a 5mm crochet hook
chain 5, close w/sl st to make ring
ch1, 5sc into middle of ring, close w/sl st
ch1, put 2hdc into each st around (10) close w/sl st
ad:
ch1, place stitch marker
put 2hdc in 1st st, 1hdc in next.. continue around (15)
close w/sl st & ch1
repeat last round again (23)
hdc x2 in first st, hdc x1 in next 2 st’s… continue around
close w/sl st & ch1 (31)
hdc x2 in 1st st, hdc x1 in next 3 st’s, continue around (38)
close w/sl st & ch1
continue w/pattern of last round until desired diameter measurement is reached (click here for size chart)
continue hat w/1 hdc in each stitch around until length of hat less 2″ is reached
close last round w/sl st
do 1 round of front post sc, end w/sl st
ch2; dc in 1st st, 2dc in next; continue this pattern until brim is size desired
