DIY From Home on YouTube!!

Did you know that you can find a channel completely dedicated to DIY From Home on YouTube?  That’s right!!  Check out this brief video that has been created to offer a bit of an overview of what you can expect from DIY From Home (scroll to the bottom of this page to view the video).  The mission behind this website and YouTube channel is to offer patterns completely free of charge and not only to those who are already familiar with crochet but also to those who maybe never have done crochet but would like to learn how.

I grew up watching my grandmother crochet and was always fascinated by the beautiful work she did.  I loved all of it, from our sweaters and slippers to our dolls and blankets.  Unfortunately she was never able to teach me how to crochet when I got older and developed a real desire to learn, but, my persistence lead me to stumble upon a few YouTube videos that helped me.  In my years of working on my crochet creations, I decided to do the same for a few ladies who live near me and who have purchased a few of my hats and headbands when they asked me to teach them.  I really didn’t have time to dedicate to one on one lessons but thought that uploading a couple videos would help those ladies interested in learning.  Well, this snowballed into a new found passion for me and I have been enjoying creating my own designs and sharing designs created by others – my youtube channel has been growing (and improving – I hope!) … you’ll know what I’m talking about by watching some of my first videos added compared to my more recent ones.

The main goal of this website and youtube channel has been to keep ALL of the patterns, tutorials and any other resource that I decide to offer – completely free of charge.  I hope that you find inspiration and some patterns that you can dive into and be pleased with when completed.  Please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to receive updates when new patterns are uploaded and be sure to check back here often as new patterns are being added all the time!
